After the official template of the UQ Graduate School (University of Queensland Thesis Template, uqthesis 2.01; the template is licensed under the GNU GPL v3, only its dimensions and the required wording are taken over). A higher degree by research thesis (Doctor of Philosophy, Master of Philosophy, professional doctorates) in English: the title page with the University's logo, the title, the author, the degrees already awarded, the ORCID iD, the degree, the year and the enrolling unit, the required preliminary pages in the template's order (Abstract, the Declaration by Author verbatim, publications, contributions by others, use of artificial intelligence, editorial assistance, financial support, work submitted for another degree, research involving human or animal subjects, Acknowledgments), the contents, the lists of figures and tables, the list of abbreviations and symbols, chapters "Chapter 1: Title" on a new page, sections numbered 1.1 and 1.1.1, figures and tables numbered through the thesis with the caption in italics under them, tables with a rule around every cell, numbered citations, References and appendices "Appendix A". A4, 20 mm margins, Times 12 pt, the template's line spacing, roman page numbers for the preliminary pages.
