Follows the University of Bern's thesis rules (own template built from the official rules and models; not an official template of the University). A PhD thesis of the Graduate School for Cellular and Biomedical Sciences (GCB), or a doctoral thesis of the Faculty of Medicine (Medizinische Fakultät) or of the Faculty of Humanities (Philosophisch-historische Fakultät), in English or German, with the title page after the programme's or the faculty's model, at its places and in its typeface (the GCB's front page with the University's logo and the deans' page of the three faculties, each on a right-hand page with a blank back; the Faculty of Medicine's form with the clinic, the director, the supervisors, the place of origin and the approval on its back; the Faculty of Humanities' example with the referees and the date of submission). Then the Creative Commons licence for BORIS Theses, the abstract, the acknowledgements, the contents, the lists of figures and tables, numbered chapters, two-sided printing, the appendices, the bibliography, the curriculum vitae, the list of publications and, for the GCB, the Declaration of Originality with the statement on the use of AI.
