A dissertation for the Universität Hamburg following the University's thesis rules; the University publishes no template of its own and prescribes only the content of the title page. The title page and the Vorblatt in the wording of the samples of the MIN faculty (Mathematics, Informatics and Natural Sciences), in German or English, set like the Department of Physics' sample pages; a switch sets the wording of the WiSo, Humanities and Psychology faculties instead. The rest follows the values of the WiSo Graduate School's official Formatvorlage (2025), that is A4, one-sided, margins of 2.5 cm at the top, 2 cm at the bottom and on the right and 3 cm on the left, Times (Liberation Serif) at 12 pt on a line spacing of 1.5, justified, bold numbered headings, chapters on a new page, the chapter's title and the page number in the head over a rule, captions (Abbildung 1) under the figure and the table, the front matter in Roman numerals. The copy you submit or the copy you publish (with the committee and the date of the defence), the summary in German and the abstract in English, the list of publications from the dissertation and the declaration on oath (Eidesstattliche Versicherung) in the wording of the MIN faculty or of WiSo. Without the University's logo and house font, which the MIN faculty's sample forbids.
