After the LaTeX template that the University of Chicago Library maintains for dissertations (the ucetd class, Kartik Singhal and other authors, MIT License), a doctoral dissertation (Doctor of Philosophy), in English, on US Letter paper with 1 inch margins, with the title page of the template, the copyright page with the ORCID iD, a dedication and an epigraph, the table of contents, the lists of figures and tables, the acknowledgments and the abstract, double spacing, chapter titles in capitals, the appendices and author-date citations, without the University's shield.
